Project: Afternight Shop Unlocks Guide

Check Project: Afternight shop rewards, capture current requirements, plan clean attempts, and troubleshoot unlocks without relying on stale lists.

Project: Afternight shop unlocks should be handled as item-specific challenges, not as one universal grind. Public community references show rewards such as animations, icons, noteskins, notesplashes, tags, and related customization, but the best-known shop reference also labels itself unfinished and potentially outdated. The live item description is therefore the deciding source for any current requirement.

This guide gives you a repeatable way to inspect, attempt, and troubleshoot an unlock without guessing a drop rate or copying a condition from an unrelated item.

Start from one named reward

Open the current customization or shop interface and choose one reward you actually want. Record its exact displayed name and type. Then copy every condition shown by the game before starting a song.

Useful fields include:

Source

Required song, mod tab, opponent, category, or event, if the item specifies one.

Performance

Accuracy, Full Combo, completion, difficulty, rate, or score condition shown for that exact item.

Chart

Required key count, minimum playable notes, modifier, or special chart version when stated.

Status

Locked, available, equipped, removed, upcoming, or unavailable in the current server.

If a field is not shown, leave it unknown. Do not fill the gap with a number from a search snippet, an old video, or a different reward.

Separate reward systems

Shop cosmetics and Roblox Badges can both ask for skilled play, but they are not interchangeable. Roblox’s first-party Badge API currently publishes exact descriptions for achievements such as Where’d They Go?, Randomizer, and I AM THE SPEED. Those descriptions include particular modifier combinations, accuracy floors, rates, and note-count conditions.

Those numbers apply to the named Badges. They do not establish a rule for every animation, icon, tag, noteskin, or notesplash. Keep the Badges reference open separately so a Badge condition is never accidentally attached to a shop row.

Verify the source chart before practicing

Search the live song interface for the named source. Confirm the tab or mod, current song title, difficulty, and key count. If the item requires a Full Combo or accuracy condition, use a difficulty you can complete unless the requirement explicitly names one.

An older community list may point to a song that has moved, changed, or become unavailable. If you cannot find it, check Updates and official community announcements. Do not substitute a similarly named chart and assume it will count. Record the item as verification required until the current game gives a valid route.

Plan one clean attempt

Before playing, verify controls and remove unrelated experimental changes. If the reward names a rate or modifier, select exactly that condition and capture the selection screen. If it names Full Combo, practice the base chart first. If it names accuracy, focus on consistent timing rather than merely surviving.

Use this attempt order:

  1. Complete the source chart normally to confirm it loads and records results.
  2. Add the required difficulty, rate, key mode, or modifier one at a time.
  3. Recheck the item wording before the goal run.
  4. Play the full chart and save the result screen.
  5. Return to the item and look for a state change before equipping it.

That sequence isolates whether the problem is access, configuration, performance, or reward delivery.

Read historical rules cautiously

Community documentation has described some animation unlocks with conditions around accuracy, playback rate, or special-note behavior. It has also cataloged many item-to-song relationships. That material is useful for locating a likely source, but it is not a current first-party contract.

When an old rule and the live tooltip agree, note the date and follow the live wording. When they disagree, follow the current game. When the live UI is unclear, do not publish or share the historical number as certain; ask through the official Discord route or verify in another current server.

Troubleshoot an unlock that did not appear

First confirm that the result met every displayed condition. A good accuracy result may still fail a Full Combo requirement. A clean run may still use the wrong difficulty, rate, chart version, or modifier. A chart with too few playable notes may not satisfy a condition that specifies a minimum.

Then check these possibilities:

  • The result has not refreshed in the shop interface yet.
  • The reward unlocked but was not automatically equipped.
  • The source song or requirement changed in the current update.
  • Multiplayer, bot, or practice behavior did not qualify as expected.
  • A modifier or rate was visually selected but not active for the final run.
  • The item is upcoming, removed, or temporarily unavailable.

Rejoin only after saving the visible requirement and result. If the condition still appears satisfied, report the exact item, server date, device, chart, difficulty, selected modifiers, and result through an official support channel. Do not send account credentials or Roblox session data.

Use a compact unlock tracker

Keep a note with the following fields: reward name, reward type, live requirement, source tab/song, difficulty, key count, rate, modifiers, target accuracy or combo, date checked, result, and unlock state. This prevents repeated attempts using an outdated condition.

Mark certainty clearly:

  • Verified in current UI: wording copied from the live item.
  • Verified by result: the item changed to unlocked after the recorded run.
  • Community reported: a useful lead that still needs a live check.
  • Unavailable: the source or item cannot currently be found.

This is more reliable than a giant static table because Project: Afternight is a beta with a large, changing catalog.

Find the right customization guide

Use Animations for note-hit character animation rewards, Custom Icons for player presentation and current eligibility questions, Outfit IDs for avatar import boundaries, and Tags for labels shown near a player identity. The Mods List organizes mod tabs and status rather than pretending every item is permanent.

Safe-play rules

Never download an executor, autoplay script, “unlock all” client, or unknown template pack that asks for your Roblox cookie. Do not pay a third party to access an in-game performance reward. Legitimate unlock work happens through the official experience and the condition currently attached to the item.

As of September 6, 2026, the stable facts are the official experience identity and the published Roblox Badge descriptions. Shop inventory, paths, and item rules still require direct game confirmation. That boundary is intentional: it keeps a useful guide from turning uncertain community memory into false requirements.
